How to create a glitter animation!
This is the glitter I am going to show you how Its been made. Pretty cool huh?? :) Well at least I think it is.. I'm very proud of it :)

There are many ways to create a glitter animation and lots of programs and tools to do the job! This is just my way of doing my glitters and I am sure most of you out there interested in graphic animations and quite new to this will love to know how I did it.
I was fascinated by Simone's Creations glitter animations and I wanted to try it myself... probably most of you came across with at least one of them if not check them here
So.. after I searched all over the internet for all sorts of glitter tutorials some of them very helpful, I learned my way to the basic knowledge needed to complete my glitters, the rest is just up to your imagination!
Yes.. with few basic techniques I created all my glitters :) See them here!
So here it goes..
Programs needed:
Ulead GIF Animator 5 download from here!
Jasc Paint Shop Pro 9 you can easy find it on the internet if you don't have it already.. you can try the free trial or dig around a bit :)
After you installed Paint Shop Pro you will also need some sparkle PSP tubes!
Here is one of the websites where I found some free downloads for sparkle PSP tubes and I use them the most.
To add them to your Paint Shop you need to: Search and open the Paint Shop folder from your hard drive, copy the PSP picture tubes downloaded and pasted them into Picture Tubes folder.
If you can't find the correct folder open any image in your Paint Shop Pro to search the picture tubes location. Click on Picture Tube tool
from the left menu. After you selected the Picture Tube tool on the top menu will open Tool Presets
Click on the drop down menu and a box like below will open. Just select one of the existing Picture Tubes to see the location!
Now lets Glitterfy..
Open Gif animator: File-New

Here is the size I normally use for my glitters but you can select the size you want.
And you will have this result:

To create transparency to the image in case you need to.. from the right menu deselect the object by taking the eye off like below.

Now add your image.. I am going to use this image:

File-ADD Image

Resize the image.. I have to, as it is quite big. Double click on the object

New window will open, select Position and Size and you modify the size as you want. I also moved it a bit up.

Press OK after you finish! :)
I removed the unwanted object right click and DELETE

And save the image, I will save it as a jpg.. Save as Image-Frames
Close down the GIF Animator for now and open your image in Paint Shop Pro (PSP)

To select the area you want to glitter you need to go to the left side menu on Magic Wand
Modify the Tolerance from top menu

and select what you want to glitter animate.

After you finish go to top menu at ADJUST - ADD/REMOVE NOISE - ADD Noise

New window will open

Now you have to create 3 images with different NOISE values. Press OK and Save

Repeate the process 2 more times and save the images something like pic1, pic2, pic2.

Lets see what we have done until now:
Open your first image in Gif Animator 5 On bottom menu you can see the frames, to create a animation you need 2 or more frames. You can also see the time and you can modify it by double click on the frame and a new window open and you can change the period of time between the frames. Anyway.. Right-click on the frame to Duplicate

After you created 3 frames you will have the same image, pic1 opening in all 3 frames, so it wont be any animation.. to create the animation select the frame 2

Go to File - ADD Image and add the pic2. And the same with the frame 3.. select it and than File - ADD Image pic3.
If you click Preview you will have this result
Not perfect.. but I'm not done yet :) Part 2 coming soon...
